Abstract

We provide a comprehensive, brain-wide map of neural activity during a perceptual decision-making task, revealing widespread engagement across brain regions during even simple behaviors.

Summary

Brain-wide map of neural activity during complex behaviour from the International Brain Laboratory.

The International Brain Laboratory

This work is part of the International Brain Laboratory (IBL) consortium effort to understand brain-wide neural computations during decision-making.

Key Contribution

We provide a comprehensive, brain-wide map of neural activity during a perceptual decision-making task in mice. Our findings reveal that neural activity related to the task is distributed much more broadly across the brain than previously appreciated, challenging traditional views of localized processing.

My Role

Consortium author - contributed to data analysis and modeling. See paper for full author list.
